Verification of the Account Availability in the SCP

INFORMATION IS VALID ON THE DATE OF THE TRANSFER OF THE SCP REGISTERS TO THE CSD

The service enables to individuals (natural persons):

• to verify on the basis of inserted Birth Number, whether they have an active account in the SCP Basic Register of Securities and in the Keeping the register of open-end mutual fund certificates produced and operated by issuers (Search the data is valid on the date of the transfer of the SCP registers to the Central Depository ("CSD") on 2 July 2010).


• to verify non-key data of the account owner, registered in the SCP Basic Register of Securities, on the basis of inserted Registration Number of the respective account (on the date of the transfer of the SCP registers to the CSD on 2 July 2010).

Input Form – First Part

• Enter the Birth number of the account owner - enables to insert the Birth Number of the account owner. System does not permit inserting less than 9 and more than 10 numeric figures excluding slash. In case of entering the Birth Number of nine figure length neither zero figure is to be input prior to the Number itself nor beyond it. After the Birth Number has been inserted, the requirement will be sent out, by clicking the button “Confirm”. The value has to be filled in.

In case no active account in the SCP Basic Register of Securities has been found for the inserted Birth Number, the application displays this information together with the prompt suggesting the user to contact the SCP office (on the date of the transfer of the SCP registers to the CSD you can apply to the CSD Participants Branches. If the account has been found for the inserted Birth Number within the Keeping the register of open-end mutual fund certificates produced and operated by issuers, the application displays this fact together with the information specifying the particular files of the Keeping the register of open-end mutual fund certificates. In case at least one active account has been found for the inserted Birth Number in the SCP records, the application offers the subsequent input form.

An Active Account is considered to be an owner’s account in the SCP Basic Register of Securities or in the Keeping the register of open-end mutual fund certificates produced and operated by issuers that can be used for recordkeeping of the respective owner’s securities. Such account either has been holding any securities or is empty, but still has not been cancelled (At the beginning of each year, the SCP, by law, automatically cancels all accounts that are empty and no single security has been kept on them and no changes has been made in their particulars during a one year period).

Input Form – Second Part

• Enter the Registration Number of the owner’s account in the SCP Basic Register of Securities - enables to insert the Registration Number of the owner’s account. System does not permit inserting less than 10 and more than 12 numeric figures. After the Registration Number has been inserted, the requirement will be sent out, by clicking the button “Confirm”. The value has to be filled in.

Service Output

As a result, the service returns the information about the availability of the active account of the respective owner in the SCP Basic Register of Securities.

The unique registration number and the personal identification number (birth number) unambiguously identify the owner’s account.

In case the active account has not been found, the following reasons can be the cause of that:

• Inaccurately entered birth number
• Inaccurately entered registration number.
• For the entered birth number the account with the entered registration number has been cancelled.
• The foreign national, who is an individual (a natural person) and even can have assigned a birth number, is in principle identified in the SCP records by the combination of substitute registration number/account registration number (not the birth number/account registration number).

At the same time, the user is asked whether his/her non-key data are updated. If the user clicks the button No, the application displays the non-key data once more, together with the prompt suggesting the user to contact the SCP office and the service itself is terminated (on the date of the transfer of the SCP registers to the CSD you can apply to the CSD Participants Branches. If the user clicks the button Yes, the application offers to the user the option to print out the protocol containing non-key data of the account.
